Properties of
The XC30 is a cooled, high-resolution CCD color camera used for biomedical and
the XC30
material sciences applications. It was specially developed for acquisitions using light
microscopy.
The XC30 is of a compact design and can be connected to all common types of light
microscope by a C-mount. Its high dynamic range enables it to acquire images
which have both very light and very dark areas. The ICC profile technology
guarantees an optimal color mapping.

The XC30 has two binning modes. In binning mode, the camera's CCD sensor

combines neighboring pixels into pixel blocks. This results in a higher sensitivity and
a shorter processing time but also in a lower resolution.
